Safe connections with solo campers

Hi,

I started solo caravanning last year.  I think it would be very good if we solo campers could connect, share tips etc but the question is how to do this safely.

My biggest challenge is getting my car in the right position to hitch the caravan on my own.  Also with dogs, what to do with them when I need to use the facilities (maybe I should have bought a van with these).  Any ideas, anyone?
