Having let our club membership lapse we rejoined again earlier this year and nominated East Hants as our centre. We went on our first rally at the weekend to decide whether to continue with the CC (we have been long time members of C&CC too) chossing one on a full facility site so that we knew we would have a good weekend in the warm sunshine anyway.  I have to say the welcome from East Hants was even warmer!!  The rally officer noticed that we had our 14 year old daughter and her friend with us and once we were settled she brought over the Asst RO's childeren who were similar age, made introductions and left them to it.  Suffice it to say that apart from meal times and bedtimes that was the last we saw of the girls for the weekend!  The friendliness of the other ralliers made our weekend too. There were lots of activites organised - cheese toasty supper, Macmillan afternoon cakes, light up ceremony, soup and bread supper and flag.  We joined in most of them but didn't feel awkward when we decided just to relax outside the caravan to enjoy the sunshine.  Even our dog was made a fuss of and doggy biscuits were offered several times.

Upshot is, we have another rally booked and we will attend the AGM. I know not all rallies are as busy as this one but having met so many of the committe and other ralliers we know that we will feel comfortable with them on other rallies.

Thanks to East Hants we have decided to renew our membership and look forward to many more camps.
