Thinking of doing a rally

Hi,

Sorry if this question(s) come up a lot but i am thinking of attending a rally.  We have been caravaning most of this summer almost every weekend and also a two week 'tour' and have loved it and will continue to do our own thing.

BUT i also like the idea of a rally every now and then more from a social stand point for me and the wife as adults and for our little boy who has just turned two to hopefully start making little friends in the caravan world!

So here's the questions:

Electric is obviously not on many rallies I have done a week (on summer camp with the scouts as we're scout leaders in the van ((long story don't ask)) and we managed a full week just using a couple of lights and gas but we had the luxury of a mess tent with its own lighting etc etc and just used the van instead of a tent really. How do you cope for a winter weekend?

Toilet? where does it get emptied i quite fancy a halloween rally but some are on the local village hall car park for example where does the toilet waste/washing up waste water go?

ALL the rallies i have looked at state that the rally opens at say 12pm on the Friday. i don't finish work till gone 5pm on a Friday will i be allowed in at say 8pm?

Is it all a bit of a Clique? I don't like not  being made welcome or am I just worrying about this for no reason?

Are you allowed to take a few beers on the social evenings in the 'local village hall' or is it strictly Tee Total?

What if we don't want to do X.Y or Z will we be made to feel bad?

Sorry they probably sound like daft questions but i like to know what i am getting into before i sign up to something and there seems to be info on the local rallies webpages but not enough for someone who has never done this before.

I look forward to your responses so long as you don't mind more questions?

cheers

steve
