Problems encountered joining local centre

Tried to join both Essex centres, only to get zero response, that is until I sent a complaint to the head of one. I had a quick response, asked for my phone number and mentioned they looked forward to having a chat. Sent phone number, gues what, yes you are right, nothing, zero, zip. Why bother to email if you can not follow up, even if you can not phone now, at least send another email to explain. I would love to hear from others who have a problem, or is it just me. Thought we were joining a club that could offer us something that others could not. We were right about that, so far they have offered ....... nothing!!!!!
