On-line Rally books

I personally like the new look rally pages in the magazine backed up by the searchable database on the internet.  The Club has now provided a downloadable pdf file of all the rallies sent to them for members to use if they so wish.  For people who don't currently access the website the Club will, on request, snail mail a copy of the rally list to them.  So in theory every body should be happy.

BUT, from reading posts on this forum it appears that some people are lamenting the loss of the lists in the magazines.  Added to this the rising costs of producing rally books I would like to propose to the Centres that a possible solution, for those on-line, is to follow the example of the Leicestershire Centre.  Have a look at: http://content.yudu.com/Library/A1v3ua/LeicestershireCentre/resources/index.htm?referrerUrl= to see what I'm on about.  This can be loaded onto smartphones and tablets so can be carried with you.  For members who need a paper copy a limited print run can be made thus reducing costs.  Further costs could be saved through not having to mail out so many books.  By collecting your Centre members emails the link to the new book could be emailed to them and as updates to rallies are made these could be sent out by block emailing.

So Centres what do you think?
