I am aware of one fire related incident on a rally which had devastating consequences are you saying that there have been others where tight spacing has caused further consequences?

We do not need anything like that in any gathering
EVER AGAIN !

I agree, but the question is would different spacing made a difference to the outcome? I assume that we are talking about the same incident. But Unfortunetely it is impractical to eliminate all risks. If you want to stop plane crashes it's simple just ban aeroplanes. Risks and hazards should be reduced as much as possible but the only way to take all risks from a rally is to ban rallies. Which would cheer up a number on here.
