Joining a centre disappointment

Email from the CC posted on a Centre website states;

If you pay your annual subscription by continuous Credit Card, and the expiry date of your Club Membership has passed, then you will be unable to re-register to the Centre of your choice on the Caravan Club website.

If you pay your annual subscription by Direct Debit, you will be unable to re-register to the Centre of your choice once you are WITHIN TEN DAYS of your Club Membership expiry date.

It is therefore most important to ensure that your automatic payments, whether by Credit Card or Direct Debit are set to be paid within the timeframes given above.

Otherwise, you will need to re-register with your Centre by ringing the Contact Centre at East Grinstead on 01342 318813 Monday to Friday between 08.45 and 17.30.

I am sure that we were never made aware of the above as we pay by DD and we did not re-register with our local centre which is probably why we have not received anything.  Seems we now have to phone EG to get it sorted although we are now "forced" to be with our local centre and canot change centres until our membership expires.

As far as we are concerned it is too much hassle for something that was done automatically previously so probably will not bother with trying rallies. Seems that EG like to try and put obstacles in your way. Frown
