Fir Tree Falconry

I went to my first Caravan Club Rally last weekend, 28th to 31st August at the Fir Tree Falconry, near Banbury.   Run by Mick & Audrey Russell, I was made to feel very welcome from the moment I arrived.   Given that I have just started caravanning and this was my first experience without EHU & all the works I was, with some justification I felt, slightly apprehensive.   These apprehensions proved to be quite groundless as first Mick & Audrey, then Richard & Jean, closely followed by Godfrey & Margaret, each went out of their way to put me at ease - provide help and advice where necessary, and unstinting friendship throughout the entire Bank Holiday weekend.  I met many others, of course; who each in their own way were just as welcoming and friendly.

I duly received my 1st Rally penant and was encouraged to attend further Rallies - which I will certainly do, initially within the Northamptonshire and Rutland Centre, then maybe further afield as time goes by.

I have purchased and set up a 100W solar panel for use at such as rallies, so there really is no reason now for me to feel inhibited in applying to join further events.

Thank you ALL who were at Banbury.  I arrived home feeling privileged to have met you
