I feel certain that they mean this- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rallying
Not gatherings of like minded people for social purposes, like caravan club / center rallies.

Posted on 24/03/2022 14:57 by billI hope that you are right. I spoke with Devitt Insurance Services early today and they haven't got a clue ! It would be nice to get a response from the CAMC in writing. Bill

Bill, It is likely the usual 'no racing or rallying' however, if you are expecting a response from the club, in regards to insurance taken with another provider, I suspect you may be disappointed.
Why would the club know what Devitts mean by 'rallies', especially as they don't appear to know themselves?!!

Posted on 24/03/2022 22:23 by ABMBill, it's a bit late tonight, but, when the world awakes RING the Club & ask again ~~ much more likely to get the correct answers ( Well I hope so any way )

The clubs advice was to ring Devitt Insurance Services which I did and they didn't have a clue. They have subsequently rung be back and said that if the event is organised by the CAMC then I am covered which is not the answer I wanted. I think that they should redefine the word 'rallies' to say 'off road motor sport rallying' or words to that effect.

Never try to clarify anything like that over the phone. Always demand a written reply so that you have something in hand and set them a date by which you expect to hear from them, but give them a reasonable amount of time to react. I'd say two weeks is realistic.
