Centres and rallies look very formal

Hi Everyone.

We are seasoned caravanners and now motorhome owners and have just joined the club after years with the 'other one'. However after receiving my centre rally program we feel the layout and general tone of the book is very formal and uninviting, with the commitee in pictures, past commitee members, rules, hints, record of service, officers and commitee etc. This sort of information if indeed it is nesessary should really be at the back of the book with upbeat interesting stuff near the front. And as for the centre rallies it seems like there are several hurdles designed to put off newcomers like us who are outside the circle of regular ralliers. Booking each and every rally weeks in advance having to inform the organiser if this is your first rally, and with some events with only a 20 van limit when there are 15 commitee members (does that only leave 4 spaces after the marshall has parked) So when other clubs can arrange weekend meets where you just turn up why cant the centres? Im am all in favour of rules and proceedures but would like the centres and the publications to be more welcoming and less formal. Perhaps our perception is wrong but i would like to know if anyone else feels like us.
