Centre Rallies

I live in the North West of the UK and have been a member of C&MC for many years, My question is, why are the vast majority of Centre Rallies only two nights duration. With the cost of fuel etc, two nights are just not worth the effort. That's why I join the C&CC and go to lots of five nighter's.

There are quite a few rallies of more than 2 nights.

We're involved in running 3 holiday rallies this year, 2 of 9 nights and 1 of 21 nights.

Not everyone has the time to attend such events, work commitments etc therefore the 2 night rallies are popular with them.

Does a rally running for longer than 2 nights, preclude a member taking any 2 night slot within that period?

Here assuming they pay for what they take.

Or is it an "all or nothing" system?

It varies Ocsid, some you can, some not, just depends on the organisers.

C&CC temporary holiday sites you can turn up when you like and leave when you like within the dates it is being run.

Yes, the C&CC's THS set up we have used and for our needs found to be excellent, in part the freedom to come and go, even spontaneously as when on route.

The Centre week-end structured rallies we have used but yet to do what I would think of as their holiday meets.

Some centres do longer rallies over the public holidays and at events. Some may not demand attendance for the duration of opening. Each one needs to be checked with the centre.
