Attending a Rally as a Visitor

Although always made to feel very welcome on arrival, I do have a bit of a gripe.  Centre mambers have all the details about the rally in their book, but as visitors we do not necessarily have all the information that they do.  We have been on rallies where everyone (except us) was in Victorian dress, for example. (Not all weekend - just on the Saturday afternoon!) or had a themed American Supper or some other special event.  Would it be too much to ask Rally Marshalls to contact visitors when there is something different going on?  It can leave you feeling a bit of an outsider.
