Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite boasts a range of pitches that are located in intimate tree-shaded glades and in open grassed areas. A pretty wooded parkland caravan site, the area is adjacent to the grounds of Chirk Castle in the heart of Marcher country. The castle remains the last Edward I Welsh castle still lived in today and features the award-winning gardens with thatched 'Hawk House', shrub garden, lime tree avenue and yew topiary. There are plenty of walks to enjoy in the local area and also a lovely dog walk from the site.

There are several historic houses and castles to visit that are characteristic of Chirk and located right on the doorstep of Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite. Further afield there are opportunities to explore the Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty such as Ceiriog Valley, the Berwyn Mountains and Pistyll Rhaeadr, the highest waterfall in Wales. At Llangollen, train enthusiasts can view the scenic Dee Valley by steam train or by canal boat providing a momentary rest. You might also consider a visit to the National Trust property, Erddig, reported to be one of Britain's finest historic houses. After a hard day's sightseeing, you will find a selection of restaurants in the area offering incredibly good value and quality.

Lovely site

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite
Lady Margaret's is a beautiful site with immaculate facilities. Very quiet location, roomy pitches, good Internet and TV reception. The Automated check-in worked well and certainly speeded up arrival. Wardens very friendly. In Chirk we visited a couple very good restaurants The Castle Tandoori and Castle Bistro both with extensive menus and reasonable prices. A little further out on the A5 towards Llangollen the Aqueduct Inn is also very good but would advise booking as not very big. Visited Bridge Inn but not very friendly and insisted on a booking even though half empty. Last orders for kitchen 7pm! Well worth a visit to Llangollen, about a 20 minutes drive and cheap parking, heritage railway and canal very interesting. Chester about 30 minutes by train from Chirk station 10 minutes walk. Chirk Aqueduct about 10 minutes walk from site and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is just behind the Aqueduct Inn . Would certainly recommend this site and would visit again.

Fabulous staff

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite
Last weekend at Putts Corner, we had an awful experience with the warden, who was so picky and bossy , he had a very unfortunate attitude . This weekend could not have been so different . The staff were warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them . We like the idea of an easy self check in . The toilets were immaculate and the premier WiFi worked very well. There is a fabulous car boot nearby on a Sunday and we also went to Bangor races. We will be back! Thank you xx

Excellent site

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite
First of all check in - the fast version with NPR is excellent. If I had a minor gripe it would be that it’s a bit impersonal in that you drive in, find a pitch and text the number to wardens. So you don’t get to meet them. But that’s a small thing and the benefits of speed far outweigh that. Facilities were spotless, with a staggered clean across the 2 halves of each block so it is well thought out and works well. Walks from site were fantastic. One day the the castle which was amazing, and following 2 days to the aqueducts in the canal (different directions) which are both very impressive. All in thoroughly recommend this site.

Nice site

Lady Margaret's Park Club Campsite
Sites are getting pricier for us now…we always travel as 3 and it really bumps the price up. Not sure if it’s worth continuing being a member to be honest… This site is lovely and facilities are great. Staff l friendly and helpful. Peaceful at night. Just a bit big for us really. Bit of a pain walking to the toilet block from one of the only pitches available when we got there. Close to Crick which has a shop and Indian take-away with a couple of pubs and lovely church which is open for visiting. Nice walk into town, turn left as you leave the site, down the public footpath. This walk passes the aqueduct and viaduct so it’s worth ambling down to check them out!
