Pandy Campsite REOPENED on 14 August 2023 following extensive redevelopments including:

  • Fully refurbished facilities block featuring level access, dishwashing facilities, laundry. The block has an accessible shower room and toilet and an inclusive bathroom
  • The addition of 9 serviced pitches and some additional hardstanding pitches
  • New MVWP and service points
  • A dog and bike wash facility plus bike maintenance stand
  • The site has a dedicated 22kW electric vehicle (EV) charging station in the car park (fee applicable)

Following your feedback, we’re also trialling a number of new aspects:

  • Re-naming Family bathrooms to Inclusive bathrooms
  • New signage within the facility block to make it clearer what's behind the door
  • New "look and feel" interior designs with some great member photography on display

The natural landscape of this location means you'll be surrounded by nature at its finest. Pandy Club Campsite itself is a level, luscious green site, scattered with impressive mature trees, located at the western boundary of the River Honddu. Visitors to the park are treated to the majestic Skirrid, which greets all early risers with its imposing presence. Abergavenny is a treat for all newcomers with its ancient castle being a particular highlight and a food festival that takes place in September. The site is also well placed for visiting the county town of Hereford on the River Wye, with its beautiful cathedral and range of shops and places to eat.

Walks, whether guided or unguided (the Bannau Brycheiniog/Brecon Beacons National Park produces a useful list) prove rewarding as there are no less than seven pubs within 2 miles of the caravan site with the nearest a mere 50 yards stroll away. The area is also noted for fine dining, including a Michelin Star restaurant.

Historical buildings characterise the area, which speak of the unsettled and sometimes battle-torn history of the borders. Magnificent views can be found at the Symonds Yat Rock with breathtaking sights over the lazy River Wye. The site is situated 0.5 miles from the Offas Dyke path and 10 miles from Blaenavon World Heritage Centre.

Good all round site

Pandy Club Campsite
Pandy has everything you would expect from a club site. Good and modern facilities, friendly staff, good condition of pitches, grass and hedges, good dog walking field. Only unusual feature is the variable pitch sizes, but all probably meet minimum requirements for stated use. Passing trains are noticeable but you soon get used to it. Pub is 150m from site entrance and is OK but not special.

Good site, great facilities.

Pandy Club Campsite
We were attending a wedding nearby so the site served a purpose. It has an excellent refurbished facilities block. The motorhome service point also is good with a full width grey drive over drain and nearby toilet disposal point. The trains are audible but infrequent enough to not really disturb. Variable pitch sizes and a slightly narrow roadway could be better.

First Impressions!

Pandy Club Campsite
On arrival grounds and site well maintained. Staff greeted were friendly and very helpful. We only stayed 2 nights as it was a last minute get away for half term. Picked our pitch along the river side. On a nice day you get sun in morning and afternoon, if you want some late evening sun middle or train track pitches may suit. Talking about trains yes they run quite regular, but to be honest it didn't bother us and did not disturb our stay. We went walking up sugar loaf and was quite tiring day after visiting the local vineyard. The recently updated facilities were immaculate, plenty of water taps around. The service points for grey were always clean and tidy. The location ideal for walking getting out and about. The dog enjoyed the river close by and the larger than some sites walking area was well kept. The cost a little high for weekend away. Some wifi limited hotspots or you have to pay. Should be free and unlimited! We do like to try different sites but would use again.

Excellent site but…

Pandy Club Campsite
It’s our first time at Pandy and the site has excellent facilities. It’s in a very handy location for walking and visiting all this part of Wales has to offer. Super friendly team or wardens who obviously work very hard to keep the site at a high standard. The but is what on earth is going on with the huge variety of pitch sizes? If you pay for a pitch with awning you don’t expect to get one that’s so small you can just squeeze your van and awning on with no room for a vehicle which has to be parked in the car park. Why these are alongside the usual sized pitches with awnings is a mystery. We compare with comments from other members that the club is overcharging for the small pitches and that these should be non awning pitches.

Brilliant site!

Pandy Club Campsite
Recently stayed at the Pandy site for 3 nights. To say I was impressed is an understatement. Starting with our arrival the wardens were super helpful and friendly. The pitch we chose was huge and well kept and level. Ok there is some noise from the trains going by but after a day we didn’t even notice. The newly refurbished facilities were second to none. Loved the new look and murals made it feel homely. They were kept spotlessly clean. Loved the new addition of a tool kit just outside the toilet block helpful if needed. The old Pandy inn just outside the site was an added bonus had a nice meal and drink one night. Also if your a motorhomer having the bus stop just a 100mtrs from the site gaining you easy access to both Hereford and Abergavenny was a bonus. Highly recommend this site and Will definitely stay again.
