Clachan Club Campsite is a find with its several open pitching areas tucked quietly away in woodland ablaze with wild flowers and an amazing range of bird and wildlife. Based here, you can experience the best of this fabulous countryside on foot or by car as you are in the glens, mountains and lochs of the Central Highlands - country to dream about. The campsite is also conveniently located on the circular Heart 200 Scottish touring route.
Make sure you visit the Ben Lawers Nature Reserve. From the car park, situated a thousand feet above Loch Tay, you will experience unforgettable views whilst also having access to the Edramucky Trail offering an ever changing display of alpine flowers and a wide range of bird life. For the more adventurous, Ben Lawers, Beinn Ghlas and the Tarmachan Ridge can all be accessed from the car park.
Please note: This site does not have a toilet block. Reception at this site may close earlier than 8pm and staff may not be available to greet you. If this is the case, don’t worry, you can still arrive on site until 8pm. We will simply contact you on your day of arrival with details of how to check-in. Please ensure your contact details are up to date on your Membership profile.

Gem of a site
Lovely site set amongst woodland. Quiet and relaxing. Lots of birds singing amongst the trees. Fast and efficient check in due to the automated check in system. Site on different levels and water and waste facilities set around the site. Beautiful walk up to the waterfall which our dogs loved... Show more

One of the best
The Club needs more sites like Clachan. Not huge and impersonal, a real "get away from it all" feeling. A good mixture of open and natural woodland pitches (some need quite a bit of levelling of your outfit) and typical woodland flowers and birds all around. Some of the waste points... Show more

Perfect little woodland get away!
We stopped at Clachan in July 2024 and enjoyed our stay very much. Lovely woodland spot, nicely presented, lovely staff and despite no toilet block etc (which we knew before arrival) other facilities - water, bins etc very well placed and very clean! Marked location down a little as not right... Show more

A very peaceful and idyllic site
The Number Plate recognition system worked perfect for me, and I pitched up on my own on a location I selected. A lovely spot within the terraced pitches on this forested site. Road noise was more or less negligible, and as many of the pitches are seasonal, it was very quiet.... Show more

A Special Site
