Why stay here ...

Located amidst lovely rose gardens and flowering shrubs, The Ranch Club Site in scenic South West Scotland is a great holiday destination for the family. Boasting excellent facilities, the caravan park offers a safe play area for children as well as a heated indoor pool, sauna and gymnasium. Please note that there is a small charge for the use of the pool.

The Ranch Club Site gives fishing enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy hours of sport only 1.5 miles away at a licensed, well stocked trout pool in Loch Mochrum. For history buffs, the town of Maybole has many remarkable buildings steeped in antiquity on the High street. Maybole Castle dates back as far as 1560. The parish church with its striking orange stone and square spire looks as if it would be quite at home in an Aztec Temple. The Burns Heritage Trail is another must when you are visiting Robbie Burns country. For a fun drive from the caravan site take the road up Croy Brae, a famously magnetic hill. The optical illusion created when the brakes are off is that the car appears to move uphill.

We wouldn't go back

The site was very quiet whilst we were there but we weren't warned that some pitches were subject to really unpleasant windy conditions. The chemical toilet was actually the worst we've seen in the UK with no real segregation with the grey water point and no running water actually at... Show more

Won’t be back

We booked in for three nights as part of a Spring Break in Southern Scotland. Oh dear the toilets and showers did not seem to have been cleaned during the time we were there. The waste bin in the gents was not emptied for 36hours with no paper towels and... Show more

Our first visit to this site

This is a rural site and views to the east and south are far reaching and fabulous. You will therefore expect wind in quantity as a result. This members only affiliated site has many static vans and seasonal tourers on pitches. The site roads are mainly to gravel and recycling... Show more

Our few days at the Ranch

we stayed at the ranch for three nights in early August - weather and views were good till the morning we left, so it was good to experience the wind and the rain too. The site for tourers is open with great views and we didn't need to fetch water... Show more

Quiet, clean and a short walk into town ...

We stayed here for 6 nights for the first week in August and the weather was appalling. However I will not consider that in my review as the management can't be blamed for that. The site has tourers and static caravans and appears to cater more for statics. Our pitch was... Show more

Excellent as always

We have just spent another great weekend at this site. The Ranch is one of our regular haunts and is a credit to its owners who are always friendly and helpful. The site is well laid out with a good sized touring area offering great views over the surrounding countryside.... Show more

Nice Site, BUT....

This is a nice little site, part of a static caravan park (which is still growing) but I feel that they have tried to squeeze too many tourers in. To get in as many as possible, they appear to have made the pitches longer than usual. They are all hardstanding,... Show more
