Things to do when camping in Northumberland

With miles of trails to explore, including the Cleveland Trail starting at Helmsley crossing the North York Moors National Park before heading along the coastline to Filey covering a distance of 109 miles. The trail can be explored at any time of the year but to see the full bloom of the moor heather, then August and September are good times to visit. If you are looking for some water sports or just a fresh sea breeze, visit Cayton, Whitby or Filey beaches, just some of many along Yorkshire's coastline.

For wildlife lovers, there are a number of parks to visit including Yorkshire Wildlife Park, or take a walk through Flamborough Cliffs Nature Reserve where you will see many bird species including auks, gannets, gulls amongst others.
