Located just off the A303 the site is ideal as a touring base for Devon, Dorset and Somerset. It also makes a good stopover for travelling further south. The busy market towns of Chard and Ilminster are situated close to the campsite and have a deep history of country trades. You will be staying in Hamstone country where you'll be sure to recognise the golden stone used for buildings wherever you go in this charming area. For dining, the nearby Eagle pub offer good value food.
Ilminster Club Campsite is in an area rich with the legends of King Arthur and you can soak up the tales and the atmospheres of England's great mythical king at nearby Cadbury and Glastonbury. The scenic coast and delightful port of Lyme Regis are also within easy distance of the site and for golf enthusiasts the championship golf course at Windwhistle won't fail to impress. For walkers and bird watchers the nature reserve at Chard Reservoir - is a must-visit - there are lovely trails to follow and more than 150 species of bird to see, including migrant Ospreys.
