There are just 16 touring pitches on this well screened Somerset campsite with distant views of the surrounding hills. The site is within fifteen minutes walk of Wellington, which is surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in Somerset with the Quantocks and Brendon Hills to the north and the Blackdown Hills to the South. The remainder of the site has been developed into an all year secure storage area. Only two miles from the M5, this is a useful stopping place when travelling to or from Devon and Cornwall, but the area is interesting in its own right, and is a good base for exploring in every direction, from Exmoor to the beautiful Dorset coast.

Stayed for a few nights as so convenient coming off the M5. Lovely little site and such a friendly welcome from the wardens who had only been there a a few days.

Love this place

We stop here quite a few times a year as we only live an hour and a half away. No toilet or shower block but we always use our own in the caravan. We love walking and with the aid of a Ordinance map there are many walks we do. Our favourite... Show more

Don’t just stay one night!

Booked for nights in Feb. Friendly welcome on arrival. Only 19 pitches all on hard standing. There is Wi-Fi but my iPhone did not seem to like it. Good grey and black waste facility which was clean. Site well looked after. Great location to explore this part of Somerset. There... Show more

Great little site.

Exactly what it says in the description...very basic! But has all the essentials. Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The site is well maintained, clean and tidy. It is very easy to find on the edge of Wellington, close to the M5, and about... Show more

Perfect for us

This site is perfect for us because it is only a short walk to visit our daughter and her family. No facilities, so a bit limiting for families. Bus stop to Taunton is a very short walk from the site and opposite, one into Wellington.

Lovely site

Lovely site, quiet, nice easy walk into wellington and short drive to taunton. The only issue we had was a bit awkward when pitching our large caravan we had to use motor mover to get between the posts that's why I gave it 4 stars. Will definitely use this... Show more

What a Gem

Have been passing by for years enroute to Cornwall, this year we decided to have a break and stop the night at Cadeside. It’s true you don’t know what you’re missing until you find it. What a great stop. Very well maintained site with two lovely wardens, Mandy and Debs,... Show more

electrics problem!

Paul Kenyon (temporary warden) helped us sort out our electric problem! We didn't realise that the electric setup on the posts had changed and we were very grateful for his assistance. Nice site. The traffic noise was not very loud and didnt bother us. Lidl across the road was very... Show more

Lovely Site - Just like a large CL. Very Close to Wellington, Somerset

I was travelling from North Wales to Exeter and had visited the * Dr Edward Jenner Museum in Berkeley, Gloucestershire on the way and needed an overnight stay and found the Cadeside Site by chance. I was so pleased I did. It has only 16 hardstanding pitches in an... Show more
