Why stay here ...

Secure your 2024 or 2025 holiday with only a £5 deposit*

Abbey Wood Club Campsite feels positively rural when you reach this gently sloping verdant site. Its mature tree screening and spacious grounds make this a 'green oasis', with tent pitches and pods also available. This campsite's unique selling point is its location - there are shops and good railway connections - Abbey Wood Station is just a short walk away, meaning you can be in central London in around 20 minutes on the new Elizabeth Line. Alternatively, nearby Greenwich offers its own blend of fascinating attractions, including the famous observatory and National Maritime Museum.

Open to caravans, motorhomes and campers, the site caters for all tourers and is a great option for those seeking a city break. The site itself is ideal for families, with plenty facilities on-site to make your stay a comfortable one.

River cruises operate from nearby Abbey Wood Club Campsite between Greenwich, Tower Bridge, Westminster, Kew, Richmond and Hampton Court. Open all year, this is one of our busier London caravan sites, and is very popular with European visitors during the summer months. There are good reasons to visit Abbey Wood throughout the year though. The Christmas Lights, shopping at the January Sales, the London Marathon, Excel Centre and the Chelsea Flower show can all be enjoyed from this scenic, yet well placed, site.

Please note: this Club campsite is situated within the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) which means you may need to pay a fee based on your vehicle's emissions, age and weight. The best way to find out is to use the Transport for London Low Emission Zone Checker. To avoid any late payment penalties, it's best to set up an Auto Pay account before you travel and then the appropriate payment is taken automatically when you drive into the zone.

A great site for London

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
This is a great site for visiting London. The team are welcoming and helpful, the site is an oasis of calm and extremely well managed, and the location makes access to central London really fast.

Abbey Wood

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
This is a fantastic campsite. We visited in October 2024. The site itself is especially clean, the wardens were around every day sprucing up the site and were very friendly and chatty. There are lots of well established mature trees and hedges, it feels like being in the countryside although we’re right in the middle of London! The site itself is very well positioned about a 10 minute walk from Abbey Wood train station, which is at the end of the Elizabeth line, perfect for getting anywhere in and about London. The showers and toilets are kept very clean and the standard is the one you expect from a caravan and motorhome club site. We will be returning next year and this will be our base now for travelling to London!!

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
the bottle bins are to close to pitches , people emptying glass bottles in late at night and very early in the morning waking us up , why not have 1 bottle bank near the entrance away from pitches ? also from 6 am - 9pm you will hear planes from london city airport and also sirens from police etc

Super site spoilt by poor lighting

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
Loved the site for all it offered, but have to say the Clubs decision to turn the Bollard lights off after dark is a poor one from a health and safety side. Please keep the lights on until people have finished their evenings duties (showering / washing up etc) as the roads are covered with (October / November) Hazelnut husks. I had a bad fall due to poor visibility and slipping on said debris (which the staff spend all day everyday desperately trying to keep on top of).

Great site just 10 minutes from the tube station

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
We picked the wrong spot next to an oak tree and in the wind it sounded like we were being shot at, as the acorns landed on the roof. The local squirrels were very happy to see them though. This feels like a very rural spot just 10 minutes walk to the tube, which will whisk you into the heart of the metropolis that is London in 20-30mins. This was our first experience of a CAMC site and we were very pleasantly surprised. Although it felt a bit pricey, the site is great and the welcome and advise from Gareth in Reception was really great. We will be back.
