Why stay here ...

LOW 10% refundable deposit plus FREE cancellations and FREE amendments*

Abbey Wood Club Campsite feels positively rural when you reach this gently sloping verdant site. Its mature tree screening and spacious grounds make this a 'green oasis', with tent pitches and pods also available. This campsite's unique selling point is its location - there are shops and good railway connections - Abbey Wood Station is just a short walk away, meaning you can be in central London in around 20 minutes on the new Elizabeth Line. Alternatively, nearby Greenwich offers its own blend of fascinating attractions, including the famous observatory and National Maritime Museum.

Open to caravans, motorhomes and campers, the site caters for all tourers and is a great option for those seeking a city break. The site itself is ideal for families, with plenty facilities on-site to make your stay a comfortable one.

River cruises operate from nearby Abbey Wood Club Campsite between Greenwich, Tower Bridge, Westminster, Kew, Richmond and Hampton Court. Open all year, this is one of our busier London caravan sites, and is very popular with European visitors during the summer months. There are good reasons to visit Abbey Wood throughout the year though. The Christmas Lights, shopping at the January Sales, the London Marathon, Excel Centre and the Chelsea Flower show can all be enjoyed from this scenic, yet well placed, site.

Please note: this Club campsite is situated within the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) which means you may need to pay a fee based on your vehicle's emissions, age and weight. The best way to find out is to use the Transport for London Low Emission Zone Checker. To avoid any late payment penalties, it's best to set up an Auto Pay account before you travel and then the appropriate payment is taken automatically when you drive into the zone.

Great for access to London, and the Woods are under-rated!

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
Nice site, great central location. I got the feeling most folk headed into London for their outings, but there are miles of fab walks in the Woods (go across the road towards the abbey - the woodland immediately behind the site is overgrown and I didn't feel particularly safe) including a sculpture trail. If it helps (as they are poorly signposted), here are some links for routes I created https://www.komoot.com/tour/1475430815?share_token=ajvfYabt95tZUb5Rb7bgErkrW17HPXcssp89dacFuKx6pdzZL9&ref=wtd https://www.komoot.com/tour/1477778933?share_token=apVBaHpnVMO4duil7j8W8JE4GsPAu1UkC6sKRib6rLqNdSq587&ref=wtd

Great site, amazing staff!

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
I have visited this site many, many times over the last few years and have never been disappointed with either the site cleanliness, beautifully maintained gardens or helpful friendly staff. It is the most accessible of camp sites for visiting London, Greenwich, Canary Wharf shopping at Lakeside and visiting the wonderful county of Kent. Very recently I had a one night booking as I was en-route to a venue in Great Gaddesden but spent an evening in London Bridge with one of my sons. (Abbey Wood to London Bridge direct train👍). On the walk back to the club site I had a fall and spent the evening in hospital in Woolwich. I returned the following morning to Abbey wood knowing that I needed to remove my unit before 11am as the site was fully booked . As soon as I arrived Karen and Paul were amazing and very concerned about the bruise that was forming on my face. The provided a chair tea and biscuits and helped me move my unit off the pitch to a safe area opening up a secure gate to do so. They also allowed me to rest up before driving again. Both my son and I were overwhelmed by their kindness and support after a tiring and traumatic night and would like to say a BIG thank you to both of them. A brilliant site, made even better by such caring and considerate staff. Well done Karen and Paul, I shall see you again soon xx

Great location, facilities looking tired

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
We were recommended by several people to visit this site, and an upcoming show provided the ideal opportunity. We were not disappointed, with a very friendly welcome from the staff who explained everything we needed to know. We stayed two days, the first to see the show and with the Elizabeth line just over 5 mins down the hill it was a very quick journey into the city. The second day we cycled down to the river and up to Greenwich, taking in several landmarks on the way. Getting to the river was a bit tricky, with some difficult gates to negotiate on one section of what is classed as a cycle track? But once on the river track it's easy cycling all the way. The only thing that surprised us was that the showers seemed to be adding a bit. The panel on at least one shower cubicle was rotten and the pipes and valves on some had been cleaned so much the chrome was now missing! The club need to look at this for what is considered to be a flagship site on the capital. But all in all, this place is well looked after and very clean. We were very pleased with our stay and will probably visit again.

Great location

We booked a stay on here as my son in law was running the marathon. Perfectly placed to get the DLR to Greenwich for the starting area, or the Elizabeth Line into central London. Toilet block and showers warm and clean, wardens very friendly and helpful. We didn't spend a lot of time on the site as we were out and about until eatly evening, but would definitely use again for visiting the city.
