Why stay here ...

Secure your 2024 or 2025 holiday with only a £5 deposit*

Abbey Wood Club Campsite feels positively rural when you reach this gently sloping verdant site. Its mature tree screening and spacious grounds make this a 'green oasis', with tent pitches and pods also available. This campsite's unique selling point is its location - there are shops and good railway connections - Abbey Wood Station is just a short walk away, meaning you can be in central London in around 20 minutes on the new Elizabeth Line. Alternatively, nearby Greenwich offers its own blend of fascinating attractions, including the famous observatory and National Maritime Museum.

Open to caravans, motorhomes and campers, the site caters for all tourers and is a great option for those seeking a city break. The site itself is ideal for families, with plenty facilities on-site to make your stay a comfortable one.

River cruises operate from nearby Abbey Wood Club Campsite between Greenwich, Tower Bridge, Westminster, Kew, Richmond and Hampton Court. Open all year, this is one of our busier London caravan sites, and is very popular with European visitors during the summer months. There are good reasons to visit Abbey Wood throughout the year though. The Christmas Lights, shopping at the January Sales, the London Marathon, Excel Centre and the Chelsea Flower show can all be enjoyed from this scenic, yet well placed, site.

Please note: this Club campsite is situated within the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) which means you may need to pay a fee based on your vehicle's emissions, age and weight. The best way to find out is to use the Transport for London Low Emission Zone Checker. To avoid any late payment penalties, it's best to set up an Auto Pay account before you travel and then the appropriate payment is taken automatically when you drive into the zone.

Not my favourite

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
Another overpriced club campsite where if you book hard standing without awning (which is the same price as a regular pitch with awning) you could end up with an awful parking spot. The blue pitches, the ones to avoid, are either situated on gravel ground outside the toilet block ( no real privacy ) or alongside the sloping exit road out of the site. At £38 pn per blue pitch it’s a disgrace and price gouging at its very best. Unlike Crystal Palace the site is located in a not great area and although the train ride into the City is super I can only imagine that a walk back late at night from the train station would not be something I would enjoy. Such a shame Crystal Palace is closing.

Just great

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
Just returned from our forth visit to this site; it ticks all the boxes for a beautiful local get away in London for us. The site is peaceful, with trees, parakeets and even the odd owl to compliment the expected foxes and squirrels. Great facilities and helpful staff. Near to Abbey Wood station and the town for shops and a station pub that does nice food - pity their mac n cheese no longer on the menu tho. Highly recomended

Thank You

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
I was staying for 3 nights on the Abbey Wood site but unfortunately I ended up in hospital on the last night of my planned stay.. The wardens were really helpful. My husband had to travel by train to London and they organised for him to stay the whole time I was in hospital. Thanks to the wardens for their help. Looking forward to staying there again soon.

Campeggio Fantastico!

Abbey Wood Club Campsite

What a find!!

Abbey Wood Club Campsite
Our first stay at Abbey Wood - what a gem of a site! As other have said, easy enough to get to from the M25/Dartford crossing. Once you’re pitched up, it is literally 10mins walk to the village centre, local Sainsbury’s and both overground rail and the Elizabeth Line - so every bit of London is quick and easy to get to. And yet (again as others have said, the odd siren apart) once you are one site you would *never* know you’re in the capital. Peaceful, leafy, so much wildlife (the wild parakeets were a real surprise!), just a wonderful site to be on. The wardens were so friendly and helpful (great tips on travel, as well as where to get a good local breakfast!). Can see why this site is so popular, and would def come back for our next family visit to London. Love it!!
