Why stay here ...

OFFERS*: Kids for £1 (aged 5-17) | Under 5s stay free | £5 refundable deposit

Great news - the first phase of the redevelopment to improve our hugely popular Abbey Wood Campsite starts in January 2025 with the site remaining open throughout the works. This first phase will include the closure of one of the three facilities blocks for refurbishment and the play area. Phase two improvements are scheduled for autumn 2025. Find out more details on the exciting redevelopment plans at camc.com/redevelopments.

Abbey Wood Club Campsite feels positively rural when you reach this gently sloping verdant site. Its mature tree screening and spacious grounds make this a 'green oasis', with tent pitches and pods also available. This campsite's unique selling point is its location - there are shops and good railway connections - Abbey Wood Station is just a short walk away, meaning you can be in central London in around 20 minutes on the new Elizabeth Line. Alternatively, nearby Greenwich offers its own blend of fascinating attractions, including the famous observatory and National Maritime Museum.

Open to caravans, motorhomes and campers, the site caters for all tourers and is a great option for those seeking a city break. The site itself is ideal for families, with plenty facilities on-site to make your stay a comfortable one.

River cruises operate from nearby Abbey Wood Club Campsite between Greenwich, Tower Bridge, Westminster, Kew, Richmond and Hampton Court. Open all year, this is one of our busier London campsites, and is very popular with European visitors during the summer months. There are good reasons to visit Abbey Wood throughout the year though. The Christmas Lights, shopping at the January Sales, the London Marathon, Excel Centre and the Chelsea Flower show can all be enjoyed from this scenic, yet well placed, site.

Same old issues with the Club sites

How often do CAMC campsites have to be told or requested to provide adequate clothe hanging facilities in the bathrooms? Yet again, here you have to struggle to keep your clothes dry in the shower cubicles. Please provide more hooks in the shower cubicles!

One of Our Favourite Sites

Our second stay at Abbey Wood and we were, again, delighted. A tranquil site, with superb access to the transport networks, and very helpful, friendly staff. Despite the refurb works going on with one of the toilet blocks, we weren’t particularly inconvenienced. We will be back again sometime soon!
