The small, pretty town of Buxton is within walking distance of the campsite, home to the historic Pavilion Gardens set within 23 acres of beautifully rich scenery and an abundance of restaurants and shops. There are towns to explore in all directions, including the market towns of Leek & Ashbourne.

At Buxton Club Campsite you will be surrounded by the superb Peak District National Park - with its extensive network of cycle ways, this is the ideal destination for those keen to see the best of England's rolling landscapes, whether by bike or by foot. Hikers can relish in reaching the summit of Grin Hill where they can witness the Solomon’s Temple and spectacular views of Buxton and High Peak. If you fancy a stroll on a rainy day, a full set of splendid stately homes can be found situated near to the campsite, all rich with local history. You will also have the opportunity to absorb the many local customs that are preserved to this day, such as the folk art of "Well Dressing" - an ancient form of flower arrangement that dates from Pagan times.
