View and BookWe’re sorry to say that the Club has had to make the difficult decision to close Nunnykirk Club Campsite at the end of the 2024 season. We do recognise that for those members who have stayed at our site, it will be a disappointment. Sadly, not enough members have stayed at Nunnykirk over the years to sustainably enable us to keep the campsite open.
We know that the Club is committed to providing Club campsites and pitches in locations that are popular with the wider membership, with approximately 180,000 more pitch nights available in 2024 than there were in 2018 across the network.
Thank you to those of you who have stayed with us, and we look forward to welcoming you until the end of this season. We know there is another perfect pitch just waiting for you, to help you find some inspiration, here are some popular alternative Club campsites just a short distance away which we hope you will try:
River Breamish Club Campsite (open 15 Mar-4 Nov) - 19 miles, 31 minutes by road
Old Hartley Club Campsite (open 5 Jul-4 Nov) - 32 miles, 50 minutes by road
Durham Grange Club Campsite (open 15 Mar-4 Nov) - 42 miles, 1 hour by road
Peace and tranquillity reign at the Nunnykirk Club Campsite, making it a haven for wildlife and a bird watcher's dream come true. Those who enjoy hill walking will find the Simonside Hills, located near to the campsite, particularly splendid. They make for a place where you can breathe fresh air, enjoy the space and open countryside all around you, whilst shrugging off the troubles of the everyday world.
All is peace at Nunnykirk Club Campsite and yet this part of England has seen some of the hardest fought border battles in history. If evidence of this was needed, Hadrian's Wall can be found in the south of the county. This Roman site can be visited from the campsite and will be an educational treat for youngsters, and keen walkers will be sure to want to experience the Hadrian's Wall path walk. Indeed you'll find a number of historical attractions a short distance away from many of our Northumberland campsites, giving you plenty of options when heading away. A perfect antidote to modern life, you are sure to return from your break refreshed and revitalised.
Please note: this site does not have a toilet block. Reception at this site closes at 6pm - latest arrival time is 8pm. If you will be arriving between 6pm - 8pm, please contact the site during the day of arrival before 6pm. The site team will be happy to provide you with your check in information.
