Best dog walk space on a campsite!

Hillhead Club Campsite
What a fantastic site - not only it has a lovely heated swimming pool, restaurant and bar with entertainment, the best feature for me was the dog walk field. It is huge!! my cockapoo could have a proper run, chase her ball and play with friends, whilst I was enjoying the best views, with the sea on all 3 sides of us. It was definitely the best spot of the whole campsite. The shop was brilliant and from what I could see, most people used the local buses which stopped right outside the campsite. We came during the water problem to show our support...and in practice the water issue was well handled with plenty of bottled water made available during our stay I don't normally plan to visit the same campsite twice but I might just make an exception this time. Nothing to fault, it was a great site, with good facilities (spotless) and great customer service in all areas. They clearly care about making this the best experience for campers.

What a Surprise.

Hillhead Club Campsite
Now I do not normally "do " large sites, but what a lovely site, with attractions a bus ride away. Our pitch was in a hedged bay very similar to a french site, but what made this site even more appealing is some of the grass pitches, these are in groups of 3 or 4 some with lovely views out to sea. The swimming pool was in use,and I have no idea it was that big, even with a kids pool next door, having a bar was nice to sit overlooking the pool with a pint. We had two nights of entertainment, which actually wasn't bad. We were there during the water issues, but even that was handled with bottled water available at reception, and in the information room. There is a bus stop outside the site for visits to Brixham Painton and Torquay in one direction and Dartmouth and Kingswear in the other, these bus fares are held at £2.00 per trip.Bus passes are still free. Dartmouth is lovely, but you will need to use a ferry across the River Dart.We visited the Slapton Sands area ,so unspoiled, but this involved taking the car across on the ferry. Love a return visit, but will use a grass pitch next.

Another great stay at Hillhead

Hillhead Club Campsite
We just returned from another great stay at Hillhead. This stay was during the recent water issues that have plagued the area and the staff couldn't have made this any easier than they did. All precautions were thought out and actioned to ensure this made absolutely no difference to our short break. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, nothing is any trouble and they appear to work tirelessly to keep the site in perfect order. If I could give 11 out of 10 I would. Looking forward to the next stay already!!

First visit of 2024 and things are better than ever!!

Hillhead Club Campsite
We just completed our first visit of the 2024 season at Hillhead and things are better than ever. The site was immaculate and the staff have obviously been busy since we last visited. We chose to eat in the club house on all three of our nights as the new menu looked so good, and it was!! Entertainment on all nights was of a high standard with a bit of everything for everyone. Looking forward to many more stays at our favourite CAMC site in 2024.
