Just three miles south of the cathedral city of Truro with its excellent shopping centre, restaurants, museum and theatre, Carnon Downs Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite offers 20 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with spacious pitches, backed by hedges and flowering shrubs. The nearby village of Carnon Downs is charming and peaceful, with a mini market, garden centre and fruit farm. Nearby Truro offers a Cathedral and weekly Farmers Market. The campsite is also located close to Loe Beach, which offers water sports tuition and hire and Falmouth is just a short distance away with its natural harbour, maritime museum and beaches. After a hard day's fun, there are three inns within walking distance of the site to satisfy any appetite.
The Carnon Downs Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite is an excellent base to explore the beauty of Cornwall. Wonderful walks can be enjoyed on and from the campsite, with the River Fal and the creek side hamlets of Penpol and Devoran just a short stroll away.

Best CAMC Site!
Carnon Downs Club Campsite
We stayed here for 2 weeks and were surprised at just how good this site is. We had a fully serviced pitch with awning and found it immaculately turned out with no issues.
The site is beautifully manicured; we joked that if the National Trust did campsites then this is what they’d be like!
The shower block we used was excellent; individual bathrooms with sink, shower and WC are unheard of for the CAMC although we see them often on our European travels.
The site arranges for street food vendors to attend most evenings, the ones we sampled were excellent; live music and a quiz on a Monday were also on offer.
The site is within easy reach of every place we wanted to visit; Lands End, Lizard Point, Falmouth, St Mawes, Trelissick Gardens, Padstow, St Ives and Wheal Coates to name but a few….. 35 miles was the furthest we drove to a destination.
In summary, quite simply the best CAMC site we’ve stayed on in over 20 years of our membership; need we say more?!

Best Site Ever
Carnon Downs Club Campsite
Having been a Motorhome owner since 2009 I’ve used a few sites, never found one this well supplied, cleaned and maintained. It has everything for families and if you read the site synopsis, it provides everything described and then some.
First Class, cannot speak highly enough or find enough superlatives to describe it.
My one disappointment was some peoples failure to adhere to the marked 5 mph on site speed limit.
But that is definitely not the site’s fault and you get these idiots everywhere these days.

Great location, great site, pitches level so you just park, set up and enjoy. Facilties are kept spotless. Food and beverages are a reasonable price. Close to bus stops to utilise public transport. Cannot praise site enough, have already recommended to friends and family. Will definitely return.
Superb Site
Carnon Downs Club Campsite
Only stayed for 2 nights but wow what a great site. Whilst we were there we booked a 2 week stay in July and added ourselves to the storage waiting list

Just spent 13 nights there fabulous location for visiting the bottom of Cornwall, lovely quiet site and fantastic pitches. Staff very friendly and the tiolet block is the best we Have ever used...
