A real find, Moorhampton Club Campsite is a charming, popular getaway which commonly sees its visitors return time and again. Formerly a railway station, the campsite is nestled in the dreamy North Herefordshire countryside, with daffodils on the bank at the entrance and apple blossom in the orchard nearby.
Moorhampton Club Campsite is located in the area of the famous black and white villages - start at Weobley only 4 miles away; there's a trail you can follow to explore some of them. Right off the beaten track, here you will find the opportunity to experience a perfect example of an old English village, with the church at its heart and 14th to 16th century timber-framed cottages lining its streets. The market town of Ludlow and Ludlow Castle are both well worth a visit.
The bus stop is just a 5-10 minute walk from the site offering a frequent and reliable service to Hereford and Llandrindod Wells, allowing members and visitors to conveniently explore the local area without the need for a car. Also located nearby is Hay on Wye which is famous for its many book stores and annual literary festival. The campsite is within easy reach of the beautiful River Wye - places like Symonds Yat offer canoeing and fishing for those who enjoy water sports. Golfers won't be disappointed as there are well kept greens and facilities to be found nearby.
Please Note: Reception at this site may close earlier than 8pm and staff may not be available to greet you. If this is the case, don’t worry, you can still arrive on site until 8pm. We will simply contact you on your day of arrival with details of how to check-in. Please ensure your contact details are up to date on your Membership profile.

1. Why are you trialling adults only at Moorhampton Club campsite?
This beautiful campsite has experienced low levels of family bookings in recent years yet it is much loved and popular with solo and adult bookers. After careful consideration it is considered to be the perfect Club campsite to trial as an adult only destination.
2. Why are you trialling adult only campsites?
We’re an inclusive organisation and we understand that not every member has the same needs. Family groups often prefer our many Club campsites that are set-up to cater for young children and families. Similarly, we have solo or adult groups who would prefer to holiday on an adult only campsite.
To recognise these needs, and to best meet the needs of as many people as possible, we’re going to trial an adults only campsite for touring and day visitors for the 2025 season.
3. What about families?
We understand family adventures are cherished and creating memories with children is a joy. While the trial at this campsite offers a peaceful adult focused atmosphere, we welcome families at all other Club campsites across the UK.
4. Will there be any children on site this year?
On the odd occasion there may be. We are honouring a very small number of existing bookings with children who made their booking prior to the site reopening for 2025.
