Situated right on the edge of an elegant spa town, Cheltenham Racecourse Club Campsite is located within the 'Best Mate' arena and viewing area of Cheltenham Racecourse, directly opposite the main grandstand and at the finish line of the racecourse. With a high percentage of hardstand pitches, whilst on slightly sloping tarmac, you are offered mesmerizing views of the racecourse itself as well as Cleeve Hill, providing a very good chance of securing a hardstanding pitch giving you more opportunity to tour even during inclement weather! Cheltenham Racecourse Club Campsite is the perfect base from which to explore the delights of the area. The town of Cheltenham is just one and a half miles from the campsite through a nearby park, or you can use the convenient regular transport service provided by the Park and Ride. The site is also well placed for visiting the City of Gloucester with its Cathedral and other historic buildings.
Cheltenham Racecourse Club Campsite puts a wealth of fun activities within easy reach. With its tree-lined promenade and colonnaded buildings, the Regency Spa town is an absolute pleasure for the pedestrian. Regent Arcade provides a wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants and you will want to take in the sight of the delightful Wishing Fish Clock. The Everyman Theatre is available for those wanting to experience a little culture as well as enjoying the scenic views of its well maintained gardens. All in all, the campsite offers enough memorable attractions to keep visitors returning time and again.
Book a non-electric hook-up economy pitch at this site for an excellent low price! Find out more about non-EHU pitch discounts.

Staff are excellent and we arrived on the 1st day of opening this year. Clean, tidy and fantastic views. Nice walk to Prestbury with good pubs & nice gardens. Easy walk into town, 30 minutes. Park and Ride available but didn’t use. Will be back soon and would recommend.

The temporary site managers were very friendly and informative. We had some trouble with the electic to the caravan as it was a long way to plug in. The shower pressure was not good. Our stay was good for us as we were visiting family. It was a shame we were all hard... Show more

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very friendly couple who guided us to our pitch & explained set up. You could chose where you wanted to pitch as the site wasn’t busy, they just requested you to inform them of your pitch number. Shower block was clean & showers... Show more

Someone in CAMC at some point in history took a look at this space and said "I know what's over rated in caravaning and motorhoming: being able to sleep horizontally." It is a (sloping )car park with services and in that sense the closet thing to an aire run by... Show more

A warm welcome with helpful information about dog walks and local transport. Was given a choice of pitch and settled on one looking over the racecourse to the surrounding hills. The large hard standing area was initially slightly strange but had definite advantages: clean shoes and dog feet, and the... Show more

We have stayed at this site a number of times purely because of the park & ride service into the town centre. However, as this is a racecourse, there seems to be constant comings & goings at all times - both day & night connected to the racecourse. Vehicles and machinery... Show more

Unfortunately this site hasn't improved since i was last here. The staff were rude and unhelpful and gave us the wrong directions to the pitch, after complaining about the booking and where we'd parked on arrival - in pitch blackness. It's basically a soulless car park in the middle of the... Show more

Marcela and Richard couldn't be more helpful, good access to town walk or bus, bus routes to several places and some nice cycle routes into Cotswold's, the grass pitches are best quite a bit of a slope on hard standings, will come back.

As everyone says the view across the racecourse to the hills is really nice. The site slopes a lot and more so with the non-electric pitches which slope diagonally and I could get nowhere near level with ramps. The grass pitches slope the least.
