View and BookClaire and Jon welcome you to Snead Barns CL site situated on the Shropshire/Welsh border on route to the Welsh coast. The site is easily accessible off the A489.
The CL is 1.5 miles from the local market town of Bishop's Castle which has 2 microbreweries (The Three Tuns & The Six Bells) along with quirky shops, pubs, takeaways and lovely gardens at The Castle Hotel. Supermarkets can be found at nearby Churchstoke and the market town of Welshpool.
For those who enjoy walking or cycling explore and enjoy the wonderful Powys/Shropshire countryside where you can dip into The Shropshire Way and Offa's Dyke on route. The Long Mynd and hills of Church Stretton are close by too. Many historic beauty spots surround us including Stiperstones, Powys Castle (Welshpool), Stokesay Castle in Craven Arms and Ludlow Castle in the beautiful market town which is also a haven for foodies!
Alternatively just take a break and unwind overlooking the rolling hills and keep an eye out for the visiting wildlife.

Easy access off A road for those who don't like lanes, this gives a little traffic noise, but nothing obtrusive. All hard standing, so great for autumn/winter/ spring visits. The friendly owners have provided a good shower and spotless toilet on this new site and they chatted to us at length about the many local attractions. There's plenty of room on the level gravel hardstandings and access from the road is good. It's been nice to watch the buzzards... Show more
