Wonderful tranquil and very close to Brecons

Pentwyn Cantref
One of the greatest sites for walking and tranquility. SssI site, mown once a year. Park where you please and have 360 * degrees views of stunning scenery. All basic utilities on site. Very helpful owner. No problems with ground . We were there in the July deluge which seemed to hit everywhere so I can well believe it’s good all year. Walking spectacular, dark skies. Nothing not to like. We were there 4 nights July 2021 Thoroughly recommended. We have a Motorhome and had no problems with access. Like many narrow lanes , reversed back but no more than one is used to .

Second time and just as good

Pentwyn Cantref
This is a truly stunning location, views of Pen y Fan and The Black Mountains, it is remote and quiet and peaceful. It is just a field with water, bins and toilet disposal, but what more do you need! Pitch where you want, consider whether you need levelling ramps, and then relax and plan where you are going to walk. There were more than 5 outfits, but it is a really large field and could easily accommodate the extra and too be honest if they hadn't we would not have been able to stay, bearing in mind that it was late July and everyone was out in their vans after lockdown. Good covid measures in place with anti viral spray at the bins and payment done via online transfer. Can't wait for our next visit.

One of the very best CLs

Pentwyn Cantref
This to me this is the perfect CL - no electrics, pitch where you like, stunning views with outstanding walks right from the site straight up into the Brecon Beacons. There is also a good pub a few miles away - best done by bike. As a bonus the water pressure was ok and you get decent mobile phone comms. The site is an SSSI ancient hayfield - so don’t expect a lawn - to me it all adds to the beauty. I could see how the access roads could be a challenge for mega beasts but our 7m coach built motorhome had absolutely no issues at all.

Weekend stay

Pentwyn Cantref
Booked this site very last minute. Owner was very accommodating when we rang. There is a one track lane to the site and we just made it through with our MH which is 2.4 m wide. The views are amazing from the field. If your looking for peace and tranquility this is for you. Plenty of walks from the site. Sitting out watching the stars at night was amazing. Hand sanitiser provided at the water and rubbish disposal areas.

Wonderful rural site in the Brecon Beacons

Pentwyn Cantref
Just got back from a midweek one night stay and two days of wonderful walking. The site is easy to find. There are one track lanes to the field, but a fair few passing places. Stunning views and makes for spectacular walking on the quieter side of the Brecon Beacons (very busy on Pen-Y-Fan at the moment due to covid-19). Very friendly host when booking. Super simple site, absolute quiet and the night sky had no light pollution at all with a beautiful display of stars. Will definitely stay again. This is the closest and best site to the main Brecon Beacons massif. Brilliant.
