Beautiful site

Cambrian Cruisers
This was a really lovely site. The views are spectacular and the surrounding area just lovely. Everything is well placed and easy to find. There is a bit of a slope to reverse your vehicle into, but we have motor movers so it was ok! It’s a really nice bike ride along the canal to Brecon, and there is so much to do in the area. We would definitely come again

A Superb Certified Location

Cambrian Cruisers
Booking for this site was really simple. Arrived and pitched up on the vacant space. All pitches were very roomy we would have been happy to have any of them. The facilities were excellent and very clean. The views from the site are awesome. It was very interesting to watch the comings and goings in the marina. At night for us this was the most tranquil site we have stayed on. Direct access onto the canal and we walked on different days to Brecon, Pencelli and Talybont on Usk. Thoroughly recommend this site to others.

Peaceful with lovely views

Cambrian Cruisers
This site is so much nicer than the pictures on line. Set up above the marina and with long views across the hills. The pitches are very roomy and there is one hard standing. Water is right near pitches. The waste is a little way to walk near the other buildings. There are toilets and showers and a disabled one too. The marina does not disturb you, but you can see boats come and go and also those passing on the canal. The canal tow path is at the bottom of the site across a bridge. Brecon is just 4 miles up the towpath with an Aldi and Morrisons for shopping. There's a good cafe in the canal basin and plenty more in the town. Cycling up is very easy. In the other direction you can go to Talybont and the resovoir. There are pubs and a cafe canalside. You can join the Taff Trail here. I am on a mobility scooter and the canal path is good until you get to the tunnel past Talybont. The route over has a very narrow deep track, good for bikes and walking but not my scooter. We stayed 4 nights and didn't take the car out at all. The canal is really beautiful and the path is sheltered by trees most of the time. We enjoyed two really good "moon rises" over the hills. Peace is what you get here, and a friendly team.

Idyllic Site

Cambrian Cruisers
Stayed here for one night 13th May, absolutely beautiful site, pristine and the most wonderful views over the marina and Monmouth/Brecon canal. The only sound interrupting the peace was of the hundreds of swifts swooping across the site. Just stunning and would highly recommend. £25 per night with EHU.

Cambrian Cruisers CL - A tranquil site

Cambrian Cruisers
This is our second visit to Cambrian Cruiser CL this year. This CL is just off the A40 a couple of miles SE of Brecon. The CL is in a lovely location within Cumbrian Cruiser's marina, right alongside the Monmouth - Brecon canal. Access is good and the Sat Nav brought us directly to the CL. This is quite a small CL and the ground is sloping and a little rough. There is one hard standing. This is a full facility’s site with modern, well kept facilities. I don’t believe the EHU is 16 amp, I think it’s probably no more than 10am. Recycling and waste areas are well kept. The boatyard folk are friendly and informative. We took advantage of the tow paths, walking in both directions. One evening we walked to the Royal Oak at Pencilli for good pub food and some excellent beers. We used Morrisons shop and petrol station (separate sites). This CL is not cheap at £22/night No WiFi available, phone signal EE very good. Can’t comment on tv signal
