Situated in the Welsh county of Pembrokeshire, Haverfordwest is right on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, which makes it enormously popular with walkers and cyclists.
Indeed, there are some excellent paths and trails to be found in the vicinity - but there is also much on offer in the town itself.
You can check out the imposing castle dating back to the 12th century, which now houses Haverfordwest's museum within its walls.
There's also the ruins of an Augustinian Priory beside the river and the Western Cleddau to admire.
An award-winning farmers' market is held in town every Friday and visitors will find a pleasing variety of shops in and around Haverfordwest.
Plenty of pubs, restaurants, cafes and delis are also available when it comes to refreshments.
