Very basic site but great value

We had a friendly arrival and introduced to the site, (water and elsan waste) ,we were advised to pitch at the top by the railway as it was flat. Grass was long and car had difficulty towing to the top (grass cut the following day to an acceptable level).... Show more

Peace and quiet

Basic but with electric, fresh water, cdp, waste bins and a toilet (no shower). Field is on quite a slope , bit difficult to get level. Tal y Llyn railway runs across top of field and main station 1 mile away (not half a mile as stated on board on... Show more

Lovely CL site

Stayed here for 2 nights, with EHU for just £15 a night. There is a waste disposal point in the field and a tap for drinking water. There is a loo available too and the grass was cut. The best thing about the site is it's simplicity. It is... Show more

Great Views!

Can't fault this site - a gem. I would however add that the details only describe entry from the NE, which means using the A493 coast road which I didn't find that easy with a caravan. When we revisit, which we will, we'll approach the site from Tywyn direction, no... Show more

Peaceful and Quiet

We turned up on spec and were the only people of the site so appreciated the peace of the area. We don't use EHU and were invited to site our camper anywhere. The site is sloping so you will want levelling chocks We enjoyed looking at the lambs and basically... Show more

long grass

Long grass that doesn't look like it's been cut for quiet some time reading other reviews it seems Mr Lloyd doesn't take any notice or bothered to read these either.  Another  grouse is the area by the toilet emptying which is slowly being overtaken by garden rubbish being dumped around this... Nice cl,great position but long grass.

Visited September 2015. This cl is very well placed within walking distance of tywyn, has a great view of the mountains towards Dolgellau, and the talyllyn narrow guage steam train runs right by it. On this visit the sloping well drained pasture had long grass, requiring the use of wellies to... Show more

Great for train buffs

We got a friendly welcome by the owner and were told about the facilities. There is one toilet/washroom attached to the owners house just a short walk from the CL field. Hook-ups are available near the entrance to the field with shelter from a belt of tress or at the... Show more

Handy Hendy stopover

We stayed for 1 night in July as a stopover. Owner was very friendly & it has good facilities. The site is a large sloping field but with many options for good pitches with or without hook up. The grass was a bit long when we were there but it's a nice spot... Show more

Maybe OK for some...

A site with beautiful views and most convenient for the Talyllyn Railway, but… For a 5-unit site there were 9 on some nights and regulars told us there have been more. There’s plenty of room for them all (with exceptions … see below) but shouldn’t “5” mean “5”? In conversation with... Show more
