Beautiful site, noisy shell island

Everything that you read about the site is true. It has beautiful views and the sunset over the sea is amazing. The toilet block is very good. It is a CL in the loosest terms but the other caravans don't really bother you. The owners are very friendly. But........ The music from shell island travels... Show more

Lovely spot

This was a really nice spot. The owners are friendly and helpful. At £20 plus electricity it was good value for a site with these views! The only disappointment was that it is a marked off section of a larger site. I normally expect a CL to be smaller and... Show more

Lovely views and warm welcome

Thank you for a lovely stay. Great welcome and despite the heavy rain we made it in and out of the hard standing without any problems. We walked the dogs out and down fine but discovered on the way back we could easily walk up the hill and out across... Show more

three night stay

Lovely welcome and useful local info. We had a level hardstanding, but the grass has a gentle slope. Watch the access from the main road as there is a cattle grid close to it. I approached too cautiously and had a wheel spin! Follow the upward slope and bear right... Show more

Nice Quite Site

Had a week here. Easy to find - farm track directly off main road. Only slight criticism the site has a number of separate sections and directions to CL section could be clearer. Friendly greeting on arrival. Toilet block clean and modern, rest of site fairly basic, but grass cut... Show more

Lovely site

Lovely site with amazing views. Very friendly owners. Toilet block great with lovely clean toilets and showers. Would just suggest that there is a provision to contact owners by mobile as they are both very busy and not always available when people arrive on site.

Fantastic view

We stayed for 9 nights during early July. What a find, we have never had a view like this from any other site we have stayed at. As other people have said it was a bit scary on the approach up to the site but once there, it... Show more

Wonderful views, great position.

Argoed cl review.May 2018. It’s difficult to see how this fits as a CL, as it’s a small, tidy 20 odd Van campsite. But here goes. We approached from the South, and the main coast road was OK, with occasional narrow stretches but lots of lay-by’s left over from road straightening to... Show more
