Site of Tranquilly

Swn-Y-Nant
This is an amazing tranquil site, nestled in the hills with a stream running next to it, with plenty of walks available from the site. Everything is kept neat and tidy and very well maintained. Its an ideal base for exploring either on foot or by car. The owner was a fantastic host and very friendly with plenty of local advice. We will be back!

A real find.

Swn-Y-Nant
We recently stayed here for 1 night whilst passing through the area and wished it could have been longer. The site was very well kept and Rupert, the owner, was extremly welcoming with lots of advice about the local area. The outstanding feature was the setting..... absolutely stunning scenery with mountains, woods, river and the Mawddach trail on the doorstep. We will definitely return when we are next in the area. A Real Gem

Swn-Y-Nant
This was a real find. We stayed for a few nights in May and wanted a peaceful site close to the Mawddach Trail to cycle to Barmouth and Dolgellau. This delivered everything we wanted and was right on the Trail which was great for cycling or walking. Rupert was also super friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure you had everything you needed during your stay. He was probably the kindest and most pro-active host you could hope for! We had a wonderful stay and hopefully will be back to walk up Cadair Idris which we didn't manage on this trip.

Beautiful and peaceful

Swn-Y-Nant
We stayed for 2 nights in July and were blown away with how beautiful this site is. With a little river, huge redwoods and a wonderful woodland to explore right from the site it felt perfect. There is a super pub just down the road, it is easy to get to the amazing wild coast and Barmouth is a great little seaside town. Walks of all levels are within easy reach. Eating dinner with amazing forest views backed by the sound of the river was wonderful.

Fantastic CL!

Swn-Y-Nant
What a gem of a CL Site! If you want a tranquil location with excellent facilities and good access to the many beautiful parts of Wales then this is it. Swn y Nant means “Sound of the Stream” and that’s what you get. Added to this you get birdsong, sounds of horses in the fields and hooting owls at night. I should mention that occasionally you have the sound of fast jets and other aircraft training in the hills and valley’s particularly at the “Mach Loop” near Machynlleth. For most this is not a problem and often a real bonus as you get to see aircraft up close and in some cases below you if you venture up to the top of the valley. Just search Mach loop on Google. A great site!
