Caernarfon Certificated Locations

A royal town and port in Gwynedd, Caernarfon is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Wales, best known for its impressive castle.

 

Also known as the Castle of Wales, Caernarfon Castle is a medieval fortress with an imposing design. It was built by King Edward I to help assert his supremacy over Wales.

 

Be sure to take some time to explore the rest of the town, as well. Wander along the narrow streets, visit the stylish modern waterfront and take a look at the ruins of the Roman Segontium on the hill overlooking the town.
