Why stay here ...

Pen Isa’r Glascoed Touring Site lies conveniently situated to the South of the A55 expressway occupying a rural location whilst providing great access to all that North Wales has to offer.

A small, tranquil, and friendly CL, the site stands within the grounds of Pen Isa’r, a Grade 11* listed fine Tudor farmhouse which dates 1570, formerly the dower house to Bodelwyddan Castle. The property remains unchanged and provided a backdrop of great character and steeped in history.

Being a Certificated Location is no stranger to Pen Isa’r, and caravaners have been enjoying the property from the early 1970’s. Following a change of ownership, the CL has now been reestablished, and we look forward to welcoming new guests.

Accessed down a private drive, the site provides a quiet, sheltered, rural position with views over open farmland, and the coast whilst being extremely convenient for the larger settlements of St Asaph and Abergele, both providing a good range of retail facilities.

Within close proximity lie a number of traditional country pubs and restaurants, golf, fishing on local lakes or the river Elwy and many more country pursuits. For those with the outdoors at heart, we are a short drive to the Clwydian Range and The National Park. The coast is approximately 6 miles distant, and the popular coastal resorts such as Conwy and Llandudno lie 13/14 miles, respectively. For those wishing to explore the beauty of The National Park, we lie only 17 miles from the popular town of Betws Y Coed. The historic city of Chester lies only 25 miles to the East.

Whether you are wishing to explore land or sea, Pen Isa’r provides and excellent base to start your holiday. In terms of our facilities, we offer fully serviced pitches to include water, electricity, and grey waste drains. The pitches are grass and generally level, preserving the natural environment and making for a more aesthetically pleasing view.

We appreciate that many guests may wish to bring their pets on holiday. We welcome up to two dogs per caravan, but kindly ask that they are kept on leads, or within the confinement of the site under strict supervision. We are a small working farm that keeps a variety of livestock. We have no wish for unplanned deadstock!

A site steeped in history and providing the perfect getaway to North Wales, Matt and Ali look forward to making you feel most welcome at Pen Isa’r.
