Why stay here ...

Ty Newydd is a quiet and peaceful caravan site situated on the southern boundary of the County of Conwy in North Wales set in beautiful countryside.

Situated on the outskirts of the small village of Llangwm on a small farm, the site was established in the early 1980s as a Certificated Location licensed by the Club, and is still operated by the same family today.

Over the years, the site and its facilities have been upgraded and improved with the introduction of hook up points, centrally heated WC and Shower Room, hard standing pitches, satellite TV plug-in points and more recently, a WiFi connection.

The site's central position in North Wales makes it an ideal touring base for those wishing to visit the North and West Wales coats, the Snowdonia National Park and the border counties of north east Wales.

With five hard-standing pitches and good on-site facilities, the all-inclusive fee makes a stay at Ty Newydd excellent value for money for members.

Very peaceful site

Ty Newydd
We have just returned from a four night stay at this very peaceful site. There are five large hardstanding pitches with ehu and they all seemed reasonably level. Access is over a small humpbacked bridge which could be tight. The toilets and shower facilities were absolutely fine, although we showered in our own van. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of good walks around the area. We travelled to Penrhyn Quarry, about 50mins away, to go on the zip wire which is a must if you are in the area. Also visited Bala and the Pontcysylite Aquaduct, which is another must when in the area. All in all a very pleasant stay and we hope to return.

Very peaceful

We stayed 5 nights, mostly with good weather. The site was very clean with good sized, level pitches. Nice toilets and shower, the shower did cost £1 but you got 20 mins ! I had a phone signal but hubs didn't, and you need satellite TV but you can hire a dish if need be, we didn't bother. We had some very nice chats with some of the locals who gave us directions of some of the walks we did and a bit of village history ( there are a few old abandoned buildings) As we were in a motorhome which we do not move once on site, it was a bit limiting as to getting out and about except for walking and bike rides so a car would be handy. However it was loverly just to have a bit of peace and quiet and relax. A loverly little site.

Brilliant site, very nicely laid out, flat and quite. On site facilities, shower (£1) and toilet very clean. Warm welcome. Nice walks from site and close to Alwen Reservoir where you can walk, fish and bicycle. Will definitely return.

Lovely little site

Ty Newydd
We had a long weekend at this site over the recent Bank Holiday. The site is immaculately maintained. The toilets and shower are very clean. The owners must have taken note of the previous comment as there were name labels on each pitch when we arrived (although we were with friends and apparently some who arrived after them and before us did try to switch the name labels around!) It is everything you would want in a site. The only draw back is that it really is in the middle of nowhere, so is perhaps a better site for caravanners rather than motorhome/campervans unless you have transport or are using it as a stopping off point for a day or two. We would use it again, if in the area.

Another great week

Ty Newydd
We are just back from another great week away at this beautiful site. Excellent hard standing pitched (very hard!) with free satellite TV if you have your own cable & box. Clean facilities with separate WCs and shower. In a great location for this part of N Wales, lots to do and see. Ilan is very friendly and helpful. Definitely our favourite site in N Wales.
