Aberystwyth Certificated Locations

A picturesque market town in Ceredigion in West Wales, Aberystwyth is sometimes known simply as Aber.

Nestled between three hills, the area around Aberystwyth is perfect for walkers and cyclists. There are two sandy beaches, and the seafront is lined with charming Victorian and Edwardian buildings in a rainbow of colours.

One popular attraction is the funicular railway, which was opened in 1896. It climbs 430 feet over a distance of 778 feet. This meant it the longest funicular railway in the British Isles until the Cairngorm Mountain Railway opened in 2001. At the top of Constitution Hill, you'll find a camera obscura, a cafe and a park, as well as some stunning panoramas.
