Why stay here ...

Pen-y-Llyn Club Certificated Location (CL) is exclusively for adults and their pets. The CL pitches are level hardstanding’s approximately 10Mtr * 6Mtr, and have potable water tap, grey waste point and 10 amps electric and are situated on a south facing 1-acre paddock. The site is ideally suited single overnight stays requiring early getaways to the Irish Sea ferries. The site is fully Wi-Fi enabled which is free to all customers, which enables you to stay in touch, plan your itinerary and stay longer on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey.

A few minutes’ walk from the CL you are on the Valley Wetlands RSPB reserve and the much acclaimed Anglesey coastal footpath - Rhosneigr to the east and Rhoscolyn to the west leading to the beach resort of Trearddur Bay; this particular stretch of the coastal footpath has some stunning views over the cliffs and Irish Sea overlooking colonies of seabirds nesting so don’t forget your camera and binoculars. The fabulous Cymyran beach leading to Rhosneigr is only a 10-15 minute walk from the main gate, and the Cymyran Hotel with its fabulous bar and bistro is a 5-minute walk away for drinks and meals out if you wish.

We especially welcome dogs on the site however, we do expect all owners to keep them on a suitable lead at all times and pick up after them and dispose of the waste appropriately in the bins provided. We have an onsite enclosed dog walk for CL customers, the local area is ideal for dog walking as the beach at Cymyran allows dogs all year round and most footpaths are along enclosed walkways.

The local area provides plenty to do including, Plane Spotting - RAF Valley, Walking the Anglesey Coastal Footpath, Cycling on Sustrans Cycle Route 8, Day trip to Cardiff by plane from Anglesey Airport which is 1 mile from the CL Site,  we can drop off and collect if required, take a day trip to Ireland by fast ferry, Golf on one of the many Anglesey Golf Courses, get out on the water with an exhilarating Rib Ride with SBS Boat charter, explore some of the local castles or venture further into the Snowdonia national park. Activities abound including just sitting and enjoying the local environment.

We advise you use 8" - 12" awning pegs as the pitches are made up of stone and gravel, the ideal pegs can be found at caravanalia.com and we also sell them on site.

All visitors to our CL must be adults (18 years and older) and members of the Club, the maximum stay is 28 days and we do not accept groups.

No car charging on site but Tesco & Morrisons car parks have these facilities close by.

Stayed here July 2023

Pen-Y-Llyn
We recently stayed here for 4 nights on a fully services grass pitch. Was amazed how dry the pitch was after the significant rain fall we witnessed in July! We booked it due to close proximity to RAF Valley, to see all sorts of military aircraft and also the short walk to the beach for the dog to have some fun. The site is significantly upgraded compared to the pictures of it on the club website, so check their site for a better understanding of how it looks now, you'll be much more impressed https://penyllyn.co.uk/ Lots of the people we spoke to were all repeat visitors, this was our first time but we'll return at some point also.

Very Nice and very clean

Wonderful site. Hosts/Owners are helpful and tireless. Yes there is aircraft noise but not in the evening or at weekends, rather than whinge, accept and watch? It's a free airshow. Great walk along the beach, dog loved it !

Pen Y Lyn - gem of a site

Pen-Y-Llyn
We always start off our motorhome touring on Anglesey and being new to Pen Y Lyn, we were not disappointed in our 2nd night choice out touring. What an absolute pristine and well maintained site, with all the amenities you could ask for, from well laid out serviced pitches, lawned areas and gravel paths. The toilet and shower blocks are so stylish, with constant hot water and so clean and fresh. A bonus is the dog bath area - this is so welcome as our springer spaniel is constantly looking for the muddiest mound to revel in. Number of dog walks, along with the beach 20 minute walk away. Love the information area which offers a number of items for sale, with an honesty box and information on local grocery store which will deliver, along with an India and Chinese takeaway who will also delivery. Owners very welcoming and very informative, so special thankyou to them for a most wonderful site and for all their hard work.

Unbelievably noisy

Pen-Y-Llyn
A beautiful site, maintained in excellent condition with suburb facilities BUT the very close proximity of the RAF Valley fighter pilot training airfield totally destroyed the peace and tranquility expected from Anglesey. With jet trainer aircraft taking off and landing throughout the day, from dusk and into the evening, you could hardly hear yourself speak. The caravan shakes with the blast from the jets. Fortunately we were not there when they do night training! Shame, the noise ruined this excellent site for us.

Classy Camping

Pen-Y-Llyn
5* should be enough to describe this site but it doesn’t really give you the full heads up on what a pleasant and well supported site this is. The toilets and showers were thoroughly cleaned and really well presented, with an excellent decor. The owners were welcoming and supportive and the site very well kept, the pitches nicely spaced for privacy and room. Will definitely be returning.
