We are the closest CL park to the Falkirk Wheel and this can easily be reached by a 5 minute car drive or a 20 minute cycle ride along the canal towpath.

At the Falkirk Wheel there is access to a variety of cycle paths. The Kelpies can also be reached by bike taking approximately 40 minutes or a short drive by car. The caravan park is a convenient stop off point if you are travelling from England to go further north as we are 5 minutes off junction 7 of the M80.

Very highly recommended this gem of a site, not to be missed

Underwood Caravan Park
This site is an absolute gem being very close to the towpath of the Forth & Clyde canal which enables walking or cycling from the site. You are assured of a warm welcome from the owner who kindly provides a useful guide to local facilities and is happy to advise on other local areas of interest. All pitches are spacious, hard standing and level with dedicated water tap and electric. The 5 pitches are clearly numbered 1-5 and the site owner operates a pre-booked pitch system which should be courteously respected, a change may only be possible depending on the site owners other bookings. The site is convenient for visiting the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies with easy links to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Access is off the A803 as the postcode may put you on the other side of the canal and the lane although narrow is easily negotiated with due care.

Booked on this site for 2 nights as a stopover. Ended staying 2 weeks due car breakdown. Helen and Sandy couldn't have been more helpful in making my stay welcoming. Quiet yet convenient for local attractions, falkirk wheel and the kelpies. well laid out and spacious. Thank you again for all the help. John calvert

Fantastic Stay

Underwood Caravan Park
We have just been at this site for 6 nights. It’s been a fantastic stay from Helen greeting us and offering us lots of information to when we left. The site has been our base to visit Glasgow, Edinburgh, The Kelpies, The Falkirk Wheel, Loch Lomond - Luss & Balloch, Linlithgow and Stirling. So it doesn’t just need to be a stop over site. The site itself has been peaceful, very minimal road noise and lovely to be able to walk along the canal (1 minute away) with the dogs. The site is very clean all layed out well and the added bonus of your own water. Can I say if you tow a caravan the small bridge on the entrance road is not a problem. Both sides have a nice swing with plenty of room.

Overall a nice well cared for site.

Underwood Caravan Park
Well kept site with all hard standings with water & electrics on each pitch. The site is by the Forth & Clyde canal so walking to the Falkirk wheel is a bonus. The site is well located to break your journey north. We stayed a week on the way north & another week on the way back. Not so good points: The approach can be tricky at the bridge which is askew, we took our time with the wife watching the back & we made it without incident. To be fair once used to it its not so much of a hassle. There is some road noise from the road the other side of the canal but not too intrusive. The water pressure seemed too high? I connected direct to the water with the proper blue hose to aquaroll & ballcock. After a couple of hours the pipe burst, i thought at first the pipe was faulty but 2 others suffered the same fate. I would presume a water pressure regulator could be fitted? Although we didn't have an issue some folk did. You need to take care entering the site through the gates. There is concrete then you are onto stones. Many people were losing grip on the stones. A remedy would be to extend the concrete?

Hope to visit again when in the area.

Underwood Caravan Park
I stopped here for 3 nights to visit the Falkirk Wheel and break the journey up to the Highlands as very conveniently located for the motorway but really could have stayed longer.Good level hardstandings and facilities very well arranged. The canal runs just above the site so good walks for the dogs ( but watch out for speeding cyclists) and short walk to the Wheel. I had a slight issue as I hadn't realised pitches were pre allocated so had to move but Helen, the owner was very apologetic and all pitches are good anyway. As previous reviews have mentioned there is a narrow bridge on the approach but just take your time and it is fine. .
