Carbost Certificated Locations

If you really want to get away from it all, head to tiny Carbost on the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands.

Sitting in the shadows of the Cuillin hills, it is surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery and the peaceful Loch Harport, which makes for some awe-inspiring hiking routes and incredible photo opportunities.

In terms of things to do, there is a pretty church at the eastern end of the settlement and Ardtreck Point with its old pier, as well as Fiskavaig Bay within a couple of miles' walk.

However, the biggest attraction is the Talisker Distillery, which makes its own whisky and can be smelt all over the island.

Just opposite is the excellent Old Inn, which serves locally produced food and drink and entertains patrons with regular live music sessions.
