Moffat is a vibrant town in the heart of southern Scotland and boasts a thriving cultural scene.

As well as a recently revamped museum, Moffat has a number of theatres and art galleries. There is also a busy local music scene, with numerous events held throughout the year that includes many musical genres ranging from the traditional to up-and-coming bands.

One of the highlights of the year is the Moffat Sheep Races. Held every August, this unique event sees knitted jockeys and sheep race up Moffat High Street. As well as the racing, there are various other sheep-related activities throughout the day and a farmers' market.
