Largs Certificated Locations

The town of Largs is situated on the Firth of Clyde in the North Ayrshire region of the Scottish west coast.

It is a hugely popular seaside resort and a great place for all the family to take a holiday, as there are plenty of amenities and attractions for everyone.

There is a Victorian pier with shops, an ice cream parlour and an amusement arcade, as well as a pebbly beach where you can have a stroll and a paddle on a fine day.

Largs was once the site of a battle with the Vikings and you can learn more about it at Vikingar!, a multimedia visitor centre that's great for kids. There's also a Norse-themed festival in late summer each year.

Just a mile offshore lies the Isle of Cumbrae and it's well worth taking a ferry there, or the Waverley Paddle Steamer in the summer months.

Largs offers a range of places to eat out and you should be able to buy everything you need during your break at one of the many independent shops.
