Go Ape - Crathes
UK's No.1 Forest Adventure. Fly down zip-wires, leap off swings and tackle crossings across amazing scenery.
View and BookGreenpark CL is a quiet, rural site set in a peaceful location on Royal Deeside, a favourite haunt of Royalty. The pitches are all hard standing, of a generous size and each serviced with 16 amp electricity, mains water tap and waste water disposal. Heated toilet and shower facilities are also available. Greenpark is an eco-friendly site and members must only use green toilet fluid when emptying cassettes.
Adults/children/pets are all welcome. Across the road from the site we have provided a 2 mile circular walk around the adjoining farmland and woodlands to help you enjoy the wildlife.
The site is approximately 2 miles from the town of Banchory, the gateway to the Dee Valley. The surrounding area has many delights to offer. It provides an excellent base from which to explore castles, mountains and coastlines, all within an hour's drive. A public bus service provided by Stagecoach can be accessed nearby.
There are many activities within easy reach to provide both a relaxing or an active day out - fishing on the River Dee or at the Raemoir Trout Fishery, golfing, walking, mountain biking, a visit to Banchory Museum, Woodend Arts Centre, Balmoral Castle or Lochnagar Distillery are only some of the possibilities. Aberdeenshire is known for its splendid local produce, and Banchory and the surrounding area has a variety of award winning restaurants and many tea rooms. A wide range of supermarkets, garden centres, independent and specialist shops can be found in the Town Centre and at Milton of Crathes, specialising in crafts, galleries, clothing, homewares and gifts.

Lovely site and brilliant shower room. Hourly bus at the end of the road by bridge in both directions and we used really helpful taxi driver, Rolandz Ridez, who lives next door to site. Peaceful walk opposite the site into forest. Helpful owner if you need any information.

Stayed at this site as snow forecast. Really lovely site and would definitely stay again if in the area. The only negative was that the heating was not on in the toilet/showers.

We stayed here early May '22. It wasn't clear which CL we needed to go to, old or new. We opted for the new which was quieter, well spaced out & easy to get to places.
