Omagh in County Tyrone in Northern Ireland is a small town located where the rivers Drumragh and Camowen come together to make the Strule.
The main attraction in the region is the Ulster American Folk Park. This unique open-air museum explores the move of Irish residents to America during the 1800s. Throughout the year, it hosts numerous events to celebrate traditional US holidays, as well as hosting an annual Bluegrass festival.
Families will also be surprised to discover Omagh is home to around 20 playgrounds - many are located in the large green spaces in and around the town. The largest park is Grange Park, which is ideal for a relaxing picnic.
