Set among the lush greenery and glittering waterways of County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland, Enniskillen is a town which offers up plenty of things to see and do.
Enniskillen Castle, built in the 16th century, now plays home to the Fermanagh County Museum, as well as the regimental museum of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards.
Alternatively, take a hike around the National Trust’s Castle Coole - a townland and 18th-century neo-classical mansion set in 1,200 acres of woodland. In the summer months, visitors can take a trip out to Devenish island from Enniskillen’s Round O jetty, situated in Brooke Park.
For a spot of culture, head to the Ardhowen Theatre, which runs a year-round calendar of theatrical events, from live music and traditional Irish dance to mime and children’s events.
