Why stay here ...
Our CL is located in a beautiful rural location within striking distance of many fantastic places to explore including the Georgian City of Bath, the picturesque National Trust village of Lacock and Bowood House, with its Championship Golf Course, Spa and children's adventure playground.
Lacock
Lacock is a short drive away and is famous for numerous television shoots including Sense and Sensibility, Harry Potter and Larkrise to Candleford. There are several very good pubs including the Red Lion and The George, Lacock Abbey. It is posible to walk or cycle there.
Bowood Country House
Bowood is a beautiful house and gardens designed by Capability Brown and is a five minute drive away. In May the rhododendrons are in full bloom and well worth a visit. There is also an excellent adventure play ground for children aged up to 12 and Championship Golf Course. Bowood is a Grade I listed Georgian Country House with interiors by Robert Adam and a garden design by Lancelot "Capabiity" Brown. It is adjacent to the village of Derry Hill, halfway between Calne and Chippenham in Wiltshire.
Bath
The world famous Georgian City of Bath is approximately 15 miles west of here and definitely worth a visit. Here you will find Roman Baths, wonderful shops nestled in antique alleyways.
Devizes
Devizes is a 10 minute drive away and here you will find the famous Caen Hill Flight of Canal Locks one of the largest flights of over 30.

One of the best
After visiting here several times it has become our go to for visiting the area and family. This is a well kept site with easy access and a fantastic toilet and shower block. Owners are always friendly and helpful, can't recommend enough.

A little gem of a site.
Just spent a lovely relaxed week here enjoying wonderful views of the Wiltshire downs from our pitch. Very peaceful location and the lovely hosts Fiona and Matthew are both charming and helpful. Great walks out from site, pub and farmshop nearby, loads of local attractions. We'll be back.

Great Location
We was looking for a suitable CL site close to Lacock and found The Old Vicarage just off the A342 and close to Lacock. Although the CL site is grass and can put some off there is no need for you to be put off as the ground is firm... Show more

One of the best places we have stayed.
We had a lovely peaceful stay here. One of the best CL sites we have used. Fiona and Matthew were most helpful when we needed access to medical help. The peace and quiet was relaxing and the sight of the sheep, hens, pheasants and rabbits very interesting for Townies such... Show more

LOVELY STAY ON PEACEFUL SITE
Spent 3 nights here whilst visiting Bath, Lacock, Devises (Caln Lock) and Avebury. Lovely peaceful site with a good and clean shower, washbasin & toilet. Also EHU & Wi-Fi provided. Very friendly owners, dog and chickens! We enjoyed hearing and looking at the birds nestled in the trees and bushes around including sightings... Show more

Lovely Easter Weekend

Lovely stay and very helpful owner
We loved our stay at this peaceful site in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Facilities were excellent and our pitch was perfect. Walked to the local pub first night and we were delighted to see deer, pheasants and rabbits on our cross field walk. The location is a great stop off... Show more
