Why stay here ...

Fir Trees CL is a tranquil, secluded site set within farmland and bound by Chichester harbour, which is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty.  The site is located within easy reach of sandy beaches and the magnificent rolling hills of the South Downs National Park, as well as the ancient Roman walled city of Chichester.

This is the perfect location for Goodwood House events, the Chichester Festival, and the South Downs National Park.

Buses run frequently to the beaches and to Chichester city centre.

Within walking distance of our site are Chichester harbour, designated footpaths and trails, marinas and many excellent pubs and restaurants.

There are also many cycling trails throughout the area.

Fir Trees CL is run by Doug and Gill. We are club members and keen touring van users ourselves. We strive to ensure that Fir Trees provides everything required for a quiet and peaceful break.

One of our favourite sites

Fir Trees
We have just had five days here and loved it. Large, mown area; quiet and relaxing. Lots of walks in the area and easy access to the CL. Doug was friendly and helpful throughout our stay and particularly so when our car broke down. The owners clearly take a pride in their site and have got it looking immaculate. We will definitely return.

Lovely CL in a lovely area

Fir Trees
Just returned from a really enjoyable 5 night stay at Fir Trees. Access is good, straight off a reasonably wide road. Owner is a mine of information on the area. Lots of places to walk to, some good footpaths. Site is well organised and tidy, with recycling and chem loo disposal as you enter. Definitely one to return to when next in the area.

Beautifully kept CL

Fir Trees
We had a lovely 5 night stay at Fir Trees in early August 2021, the site is very well maintained by Doug who gave a us a nice informative greeting. A level site, with immaculate facilities, power is 10A as stated so have to be thoughtful about usage. We enjoyed walks at Pagham Harbour, Bracklesham / Medmerry and cycled on the Salterns way around the harbour to West Itchenor. Chichester is a great City to visit, plenty to do even for those of us that don't do shopping .... A perfect break, thanks Doug we will return !

How many visits to qualify as a regular?

Fir Trees
Only four reviews for Fir Trees is surely a ploy on the part of Doug and Gill's regulars to discourage newcomers like us ;-)). This long established CL on a cricket pitch of a site, down to the finely cut grass, was a joy to stay at. Any good intentions to walk, cycle and sight-see were cast aside in favour of basking quietly in the late summer sun and chatting to Doug about all and sundry. Now we want to book again to do all the activities we intended to pursue! One health warning: we visited nearby Premier Motorhomes showroom and fell prey to the seductive charms of a shiny new motorhome. Beware!

Lovely quiet site

Fir Trees
Spent week with friends at fir trees, lovely quiet site, Doug the owner friendly and welcoming, very informative about local area, plenty of pitch space (2 acres?). Arrival time 12noon, 10amp EHU worked fine even with electric BBQ. Only 10mins from Chichester and easy access to other places of interest. Local sandy beach very busy but relaxing lovely harbours and countryside are nearby. If your looking for a site in the area, recommend fir trees
